If Rocket Lab can secure even 5% of the addressable market, the company would be worth well over $100B.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not enough?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How about Elon Musk said Rocket Lab is building the best rockets ever made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"9-peter-beck-knows-rockets\">Peter Beck Knows Rockets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the space industry, execution is everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rocket Lab\u2019s founder and CEO Peter Beck knows rockets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While Musk gets most of the media\u2019s attention, Beck has quietly built a badass company in Rocket Lab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Building rockets is hard. It\u2019s not like you or I can wake up tomorrow and start our own rocket company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beck actually did it. Born in New Zealand, he has since built Rocket Lab into a world-renowned aerospace company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He runs things differently than Elon Musk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company focuses on under-promising and over-delivering. That is a culture you want to see in aerospace companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Think about how many rocket companies have been started only to never actually launch anything? Upon further inspection, that\u2019s most of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The space industry is littered with failed rocket startups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rocket Lab isn\u2019t going to fail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"10-final-thoughts\">Final Thoughts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While Rocket Lab may not be a future SpaceX, it could end up being one of the most important infrastructure providers in the space industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After witnessing how much the space industry has grown over the last decade, it\u2019s hard to imagine demand decreasing. Every industry needs suppliers, and Rocket Lab is going to benefit from space becoming one of the largest industries in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Plus, there is absolutely nothing wrong with owning space infrastructure ahead of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Lot Can Go Wrong<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although I like the long-term growth prospects for Rocket Lab, plenty can go wrong in the short-term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are still in a volatile risk-off market environment where growth stocks are getting punished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Execution Risks: <\/strong>Despite having a successful track record, rocket companies are still incredibly high-risk. One failed launch can mean a drastic reduction in value.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Competitive Risks: <\/strong>SpaceX isn\u2019t going away. Though government\u2019s like diversification, SpaceX has already established itself with many government contracts around the world.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Government Risks: <\/strong>Speaking of government, it\u2019s rare we see the government increase spending during periods of uncertainty.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Again, there are tons of risks to consider with any growth stock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But if we look at the long-term opportunity here and truly believe space is going to be one of the largest industries in the world.
